A beautiful and very talented human being, not to mention broken—as we all are if we are honest with ourselves, recently reached out to me. Vulnerable and raw, she spilled out glimpses of her testimony in an email. Attached in the email was a YouTube video where she tells her testimony which coincidentally entails overcoming mental illness by opening up to members of her community and by speaking the truth of God’s word over her life. She is raw and unrefined. She is beautiful and is reaching for the very heart of God.
I wanted to share this so that you know you are not alone. Whatever mental illness you may be battling: Depression, Suicidal Ideation, Anorexia, Schizophrenia, and so on, you are NOT ALONE.
