Immune Relief

If you’re anything like me, COVID-19 has got you more on edge about your immune system than ever. I think it’s safe to say at present, that many of us are more aware than ever of the possibility of succumbing to this virus, but I feel I may have reason to. Just two days ago I started coughing and had trouble breathing most of the day. Those are symptoms that many people who test positive for this virus experience after it has advanced, so I was concerned when these symptoms surfaced, as someone who follows Dr. Anthony Fauci and the CDC like they are the Bible. I have no sure proof that I am actually infected, but I am taking every opportunity to get more informed about preventative health. That said, I’d love to share some information on some benefits of adding tea to your immune boosting/ illness combating routine.

Ginger Tumeric

My favorite tea to drink when I’m not feeling well is Ginger tea. My immune system feels most fortified after a cup of Ginger tea with half of a fresh squeezed organic lemon and roughly a teaspoon of honey. It sort of feels like a detox and a boost all at once. I highly recommend it.

My Rock when I am Ill

Thieves by Young Living is an absolute MUST, when you are experiencing symptoms of cold or flu. It is a strong immunity booster. Legend has it that this oil dates back to the days of the Black Plague, and was successful at fighting that disease.

Because Thieves by Young Living is a therapeutic grade oil, it can be ingested, which is a highly recommended form for using this oil to combat illness. A mug of piping hot water, a sachet of Ginger tea by Tazo, half an organic fresh squeezed lemon, a teaspoon of honey and two to three drops of thieves make the perfect blend of tea when you are sick and achy. This combination is soothing, helps relieve symptoms, and is most of all tasty.

There are an elders world of teas that contain various healing properties, but I am glad to skim the surface and review some that have been most successful for me. Drinking tea is a habit that not only boosts my immune system, but reduces stress with its steamy soothing properties in a time when many areas of my life are characterized by uncertainty.

Your’s Truly,
